About us

About Us

Our mission is to use regenerative agricultural techniques to produce clean, nutrient dense food while improving the productivity of the environment. We practice responsible land stewardship in order to harvest from and simultaneously improve our ecosystem.  We, at eco culture farms, will leave our children with a better world than we have now.

We strive to steward a highly functioning ecosystem in order to produce an abundance and variety of edible and salable products. Closing the waste stream, improving relationships with our local community, spreading knowledge and awareness around food and agriculture are central to the functioning of the farm. Our livestock, vegetable production, fruit tree cultivation, and soil building programs feed and support each other in a cohesive and harmonious manner.

Our Mission

We provide ecological accommodation in ecosystem farm by giving an unique ecotourism experience while respecting Rwandan tradition and benefiting the local community

Our Vision

To give an unique experience in ecotourism business.

Our Goal

We aim build and operate efficiently several ecological lodges in ecosystem.

Eco-culture

Eco cultural theory characterizes the role of cultural ecology in psychosocial development, and has evolved in anthropology as a powerful tool for understanding and investigating the sources of human diversity. Through culture, humans largely create the conditions in which they live in material, social, and experiential terms. The resultant cultural ecology, in turn, strongly shapes the physical, behavioral, and mental attributes of the members of a culture.

The question remains: just how are such linkages forged? Many answers to this question appear to lie in human development. This chapter traces anthropology’s ecological understanding of culture and its relationship to the dynamics of human development, and outlines the foundations, evolution, and application of eco cultural theory. The framework of eco cultural theory has come to inform other social and biological sciences, as well as policy and clinical applications.

ECO-FARMING

Eco-farming

In Africa could be living in areas of water scarcity. To prepare for this challenge, plant scientists are researching drought tolerant traits to use water more efficiently.

  • Preserving biodiversity

Advances in crop protection have allowed farmers to make the most of existing cropland and curb expanding acres into biodiverse areas. Between 35 and 42 per cent of the world’s potential crop production is lost annually due to weeds, insects, diseases and other pests. These losses would double without crop protection products, forcing farmers cultivate more land.

  • Reducing greenhouse gases

Plant biotechnology and crop protection products have helped farmers significantly cut their greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate climate change. Herbicide tolerant crops facilitate no-till farming which leaves soil undisturbed and keeps carbon in the ground. In 2013 alone, this helped reduce CO2 emissions by 28 billion kilograms – equivalent to taking 12.4 million cars off the road for one year.

  • Conserving water

Water shortages are a constant threat to farmers in Africa. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations estimates that by 2025 approximately 480 million people in Africa could be living in areas of water scarcity. To prepare for this challenge, plant scientists are researching drought tolerant traits to use water more efficiently.

Eco-tourism

Why add Ecotourism in Eco culture?

“Of course, it brings extra income. As a small example, the men of the local families work on the farm, and their wives, who are not trained in farming skills, are still able to work with the tourists. For example, in the kitchen, providing the delicious food”

To mean this is so important to the community but also easy to access as it doesn’t require high skills to practice it or even capital.

The fundamental principles of ecotourism revolve around two basic concepts: benefit and respect. True ecotourism provides tangible economic and ecological benefits to the host community while at the same time respecting its traditions.

ECO-BENEFITS

Eco-benefits

Whether it is following a trend or it is for conservation purposes, most firms are now producing eco-friendly products. From the beauty field to automobile manufacturing, most industries are striving to produce that are friendly to the environment. Aside from benefiting the environment, the eco-friendly products are known for providing the following benefits.

  • Reduce damage to environment

Eco-friendly products normally mean that their use or production does not harm the environment in any way. For instance, the products may be manufactured from biodegradable materials that do not contribute to large landfills or cause poisonous waste. This enhances the environment’s appearance and may lessen the effects linked to global warming.

  • Benefit consumers

Nowadays, most people are choosing whether to conduct their businesses with a certain company or not based on their eco-friendly products. It is therefore becoming even more essential that companies produce eco-friendly items so as to get more customers. Furthermore, being eco-friendly is not only a good method of getting new clients, but it also helps to retain your old customers.

  • Credibility

The manufacture of eco-friendly products is also vital for displaying your credibility and showing other people that you are also interested in the conservation of the environment. Shareholders, clients, competitors and customers will normally want to see what you are doing with respect to environment conservation. Most people are normally happy to know that they are doing business with an environmentally aware and responsible corporation.

  • Better safety

Eco-friendly products are safe to use since they are made from materials that cannot harm the environment. Besides that, since they are produced without the deposition of any toxic waste, the surrounding environment is also safer to live in.
The demerit of eco-friendly products is that they are normally very expensive. For instance, biofuel is much more costly than the normal fuel.
